(Brassica juncea)
Mustard greens are a popular, naturalized plant in the Southern United States, and like their Collard Green cousins (B. oleracea), are a necessity at any self-respecting southern Bar-B-Q. Relegated to the status of “weed” in the North, mustard greens provide a bounty of vitamins and nutrients that should not be ignored. Easy to grow, they offer an interesting alternative to any meal with roasted, grilled or Bar-B-Q meats.
