Originating in Asia, Chives, known as Gow Choy, are now commonly cultivated around the world. The smallest member of the onion family, Chives add dimension and flavour to almost any dish. Flowers, stems and seeds are all edible. A resilient plant in almost any climate, chives are good companion plants for carrots, cucumbers, gooseberries and apples.
